How To - Units

Units are used when setting up products to determine the sizes that they are purchased in, counted in or used within recipes. The most common types of unit used are volume, weight and items.

1. Select Units and click the green Add button.








2. Select the unit type required and click Next.
3. Enter the unit name and a description if required.
4. Specify the correct unit amounts (all volumes are calculated in ml, weight in g and items in single items)



It is very important to get the Base Amount Correct as this will affect both product depletion and stock takes.



5. Click Finish to complete.



To speed up the process when setting up multiple units, you can right click on the unit type and choose Add - this will take you directly to step 2 above.
